I often feel like being silent. Just to be silent

The older you get, the greater the need for silence, for solitude, for freedom from any mundane circumstances...

Because resources are no longer generously pumping oil from a rich well, and require careful attitude...

And it is possible to keep them without mercilessly emptying yourself where you are with difficulty... and with those to whom you have no heart...

I often want to be silent...

Just to be silent...

And I do so, discovering the pleasure of my own soft-spokenness, in which there has long been no excitement to challenge or prove anything, or to insert everywhere without fail the unsolicited pennies of my opinion...

I no longer think it should be of interest to everyone...

I no longer participate, as I once did, in all discussions...

I don't comment on anything, I don't argue with anyone, I don't keep track of other people's reactions to myself...

This luxury has been with me for a long time - to let everyone think whatever they want about me...

And it turns out that's how better communication, better relationships, better connections come into life - when the hysteria of liking everyone necessarily falls away...

Why?

BECAUSE WHEN YOU DON'T PLAY ANY ROLES FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S APPROVAL, YOU FIND YOUR OWN... AND NOT THE SAME MASK BEARERS...

A man doesn't need a life in a carnival, my friends...

He needs his life...

And carnival is someone else's feast, where even to have fun according to someone else's rules: dress up in feathers, and dance as if you are seducing the whole world...

And one day you have to decide exactly whether you need the whole world, which you will have to satisfy tirelessly, getting out of your skin, or your own is enough - where only those you want to see always are in it, and where everything is mutual, not one-sided...
